Marina Alexopoulou

Discover the interview of Marina Alexopoulou, located in Athens, Greece.

How did you become designer ?

I studied at a technical high school, where I specialised in Applied Arts.

At first I wanted to become an artist, but what won me in the graphic design is that besides your own concerns you have also to express, through your art, the needs of someone else, either company or person, that was a challenge for me and finally I chose to study graphic design and today I am a freelancer.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

I would say that my designs are characterized by simplicity and accuracy, however I like to experiment with various styles. I am not sure if there is something that defines me as a designer, I am still working on it.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

In the future I would like to further explore typography and to expand my knowledge in this field. I am also interested in doing an internship in a creative agency here in Athens. That’s my plans for now.

What do you like the most in your job ?

The ability to research, learn new things and be creative at the same time. Graphic design does not have a finish line. There is always something to explore and the chance to do more. That keeps me curious and productive in an artistic way and I love it.
