Reka celebrates the indigenous M?ori culture of New Zealand. This finely crafted cider is brewed with the Tutu berry, a sweet fruit commonly used in early ways of M?ori fermentation. The brand identity is inspired by the cultural symbol of prosperity (Matau) and New Zealand plant life.
I conducted a substantial amount of research about the history of New Zealand and of the M?ori culture. I studied books on plant-life, symbolism and the M?ori’s history of alcohol. I was inspired by the information and this was my design solution.
