Karla Hanón

Packaging system for house paints inspired by the architect, Shigeru Ban. He is known for using paper as a building material because it’s low cost, recyclable, and replaceable. His work emphasizes sustainability and has little waste. I was inspired on Shigeru Ban’s focus on sus-tainability. The packaging uses easily recyclable paper. It features die cuts so that the customers are able to see the paint colors and bristles of the brushes. The opening system is composed of a pull up cap secured by twine, meant to provide an experience for the costumer when opening the product. The box structures are easy to carry and are stackable for display space and shipping purposes. (Student Project)
