Botánico Estudio

‘Sanote, Zumitos Healthy’ is a project in which we wanted to create a fun and casual brand image for a product that is as trendy as raw cold-pressed juices are nowadays. We wanted to move away from the minimalist and refined aesthetics that are usually used in this type of packaging. We wanted to spice it up with a pinch of humor, and the starting point was a powerful and funny name such as ‘Sanote’ (which translates as healthy, good-for-you food in Spanish). Besides, the brand’s tagline adds up some irony by using the diminutive ‘zumitos’ (mini-juice) together with the English term ‘healthy’ -for indeed nowadays anglicisms are a way to show coolness.

For the design of the labels, we created a series of very fresh and dynamic illustrations. This is aimed to bring the product closer to a younger public, who generally prefers to drink soft beverages and other types of drinks rather than natural, fruit and/or vegetable juice. A total of four different designs has been made, with a distinctive main colour that relates to the juice flavour. The same tonal range has been used for the illustrations and the compositional elements of each label. The illustrations play with flat colours and some gradients, as well as with very subtle shadows that give them more volume and movement. The typographies used have a friendly character that adds more warmth to the design as a whole, and also have a naive demeanor -a signature of these illustrations.

Finally, we wanted to use glass bottles that can be re-used by the buyer and will reduce the use of plastic. Thus, the product emphasizes its econature -all the juices are 100% organic- and its aim to help save the planet.
