Yannis Prodromou is an olive farmer and entrepreneur from Chalkidiki, Greece. In 2014 he produced the first ever early-harvest olive oil with the newly introduced PDO certification ‘Agoureleo Chalkidikis’. Moved by the vision to elevate Greece’s wealth of food tradition and wanting to address foreign markets, he commissioned Oxhouse Design Studio for a branding and packaging design reflecting his core values.
The main visual element of the packaging is the brand’s logo. Deriving from the first letter (Y) of the brand-name (Yannni’s Olive Grove) is an abstract visualization of a growing tree. The logo’s tall and linear shape was a perfect match with the thin small bottle, while it is distinctive and discreet at the same time.
